The rooms are small but functional, and the bed is a little firm, though some people may prefer it. There’s a nice, simple sitting area outside the entrance where you can have breakfast, lunch, dinner or coffee. The reception staff are lovely and always happy to help. Housekeeping did a very good job: rooms were cleaned daily, towels changed every day and the bed changed every few days, even though it’s a three-star hotel. Staff also politely remind guests not to slam doors or have noisy conversations overnight. Communication through booking.com was great, with quick replies to any questions. There’s a 7/11 and laundry point just around the corner, and Tops daily is a five-to-seven-minute walk. The hotel is by a very busy street, with easy access to nightlife and food markets. Patong Beach is around a 15-20 minute walk, but motorbikes can make it a little noisy overnight. There’s a garage on the street corner, so that area can be a bit messy, though it doesn’t affect you if you spend time in the hotel lounge. There’s no sidewalk, which can make the walk towards Malin Plaza night market challenging, especially with kids in the afternoon or evening. We didn’t mind. We enjoyed our stay.
