The Malika

I slept really well here, thanks to the soft beds and quiet A/C. The rooms are modern, with good build quality and style, and the hotel is meticulously clean. Maids come every day to clean the rooms. There’s a large sunbathing area beside the pool and a big car park if you have a motorcycle or car. The staff are very friendly, greet us every day and are always around when we need anything. A perfect place to stay in Phuket Town.

The service, amenities and location were all excellent, and I loved staying at the Malika. The rooms were extremely clean and very comfortable, and the outdoor pool is cute and nicely situated by the concierge desk. Staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming and helpful with all our questions. It’s very quiet, away from the crowds and traffic, and the area has a lot more charm and character. The hotel isn’t directly central to the old town, but it’s only a 15-minute walk. Saphan Hin park is very close too, lovely for a run or a walk by the harbour. It’s beautiful there. The hotel has three floors and no elevator, so you’ll need help carrying luggage if you’re not on the main floor. Thank you for the fantastic stay.

If you’re happy to arrange transport whenever you leave the hotel, this place may suit you. The hotel itself was nice, clean and well looked after, but the location is terrible if you want to walk to restaurants or shops. Nothing is close by. It took a 10-minute walk just to reach a 7-Eleven, where we got dinner on our first night because there was nothing else around and nothing available at the hotel.

We loved how quiet it was and how quickly we could walk to the old town, about 15-20 minutes away. The rooms are a little outdated, and our terrace was dirty. Some tiles are missing in the pool, and they hurt if you catch them getting out. The water was really cold, though you may like that. The staff were nice, but once my partner tried to buy drinks and was just shouted a price, which was off-putting.
