Waterfront Suites Phuket by Centara

The sea view is good and the rooms are clean, but the furniture is below average and the bathrooms are very small and old-fashioned. There was no porter or anyone to bring our luggage to the room, so we had to carry everything ourselves.

Our room was very spacious for a family, and we loved the stay enough to hope to come back. There is a language barrier, but some staff are really friendly and do their best to help. Kitchen items that aren't in good shape aren't replaced, which is a problem. Housekeeping can be excellent, though sometimes we had to ask them to do it again. When we did, the housekeeping staff helped us very sweetly.

The beach view is great, and there are lots of nearby shops and restaurants. The pool is deep and nice, though the water was cold. Some of the air conditioners worked okay and some didn't. The place is good, but it feels old and past its glory days. It may once have been a great place to stay, but it seems money hasn't gone into repairs or maintenance.

Waterfront Suite by Centara is a high-rise resort in front of Phuket Karon Beach and a landmark in the area. It has 39 suites, each with a bedroom, living room, and kitchen, in one-bedroom or two-bedroom layouts. Floors up to the sixth are classed as garden view, while the seventh floor is ocean view. In practice, you can see the ocean from the sixth floor too, and the fifth floor has a partial ocean view. The building is the tallest in the Karon BeachKaron Beach area, so the views are good. The lobby is about 200 meters from Karon Beach, while the resort entrance is around 100 meters away. Near the entrance are a Let's Relax massage shop, mini mart, high-end restaurant, currency exchange, general store, and 7-Eleven, which is convenient. There aren't many rooms, so the facilities are simple, with little beyond a swimming pool and game room. The resort was built a long time ago and has been said to need renovation. Still, it has advantages: the rooms are large, prices are low, and it's in the center of Karon Beach.
