Radisson Resort & Suites Phuket

The breakfast was very good, though I’d suggest adding an air-conditioned area for it. On our first day, the room’s air conditioning wasn’t working properly, so I asked to move. The staff were helpful and cooperative and arranged a room change for us. They were friendly and supportive throughout the stay, which was otherwise excellent. I’d recommend the hotel.

I had a lovely two-night break here. The pools were pleasantly quiet, with plenty of loungers and no trouble finding a place to sit. There are four pools, two with swim-up bars, plus several restaurants on site that I didn’t get around to trying. Drinks, meals, and massages are reasonably priced, and fitness classes run through the day. My room felt like a peaceful private retreat, looking out over the pond, gardens, and a massage hut. It was spacious, clean, and modern. Arrival was smooth too: reception welcomed me with coconut water at check-in, and the porters brought my luggage right to the room. A beautiful resort right by the beach, and I’d come back.

Sunprime Kamala Beach is huge, right on the beach, and set up for an easy, relaxing holiday. There are four pools, two with swim-up bars, balconies on every room, a mini-market, doctor, gym, and two restaurants. The grounds and rooms are immaculate, the rooms are very large, and the bathrooms meet high western standards. The staff are all local to Phuket and have varying levels of English, but they communicate successfully with visitors from all over, many of whom have limited English too. I saw positive interactions everywhere. Tae in the restaurant deserves a special mention: he’s learning sign language on his own because he thinks every guest should be able to communicate. The deaf guests and Tae joked together whenever they met. The restaurant team are wonderful, remembering guests, preferences, and earlier conversations, which is impressive in a resort this size. Several guests told us they return regularly, and it’s easy to understand why. I’ll absolutely be back.

The weekly markets at the resort entrance were a great bonus, and there’s a large, well-stocked 711 just down the road. It’s also only a two-minute walk from reception to the beach. The resort itself is quiet and well supplied. Rooms are spacious and luxurious, food is hot, tasty, and well priced, and the cold cocktails are fairly priced too. There’s live music most nights. Every team deserves credit, from housekeeping to the pool, bar, and maintenance staff. They made this five-star stay worth every penny. I’ll definitely return.
