The people here made our stay feel special. Everyone we met was warm and welcoming, and the hospitality was outstanding. Our villa was spacious and beautifully designed, with a private pool that made it easy to unwind. The island feels wonderfully tucked away, though it’s only about 45 minutes from the airport. A private speedboat, included with the stay, runs every half hour and takes just five minutes to reach the mainland. Breakfast was the best we’ve ever had, from the quality and range to the setting, and the sparkling wine refills were a memorable bonus. They take mosquitoes seriously too: the island is sprayed each evening, but we didn’t notice it, and the room had repellent and coils. We hardly saw any mosquitoes. A truly unforgettable hidden gem.

The activities were the highlight for us. We joined several free sessions, and since we love sound therapy, the team arranged a surprise one-hour sound healing for my wife and me with a very spiritual staff member. There were other surprises too. I’d recommend trying the classes, both to meet the staff and because they really do their best to make you happy. We chose The Naka Island to finish our longer Thailand trip with a honeymoon, and it was a great choice. Check-in at the marina was simple, followed by a quick speedboat ride and a short buggy trip to the room. A small room issue was fixed straight away. Breakfast was included and really good. There are several hotel restaurants, and you can order anywhere on the property, including your room, without an extra charge. We enjoyed the food. Thai dishes were around 500THB and local beer about 200 THB. If that’s too much, there’s a local village where you can order food as well. The hotel grounds used to be a Six Senses, which gives you an idea of the place. We’d read comments about wear and tear, but learned it was renovated in December 2025 and everything seemed good to us. Everyone we met tried to make us happy. Just tell them what you need. Special thanks to Melanie, Melon, Han, Coral and the others who made sure villa 79 had the best time.

The service here is the kind you feel day after day. We’ve been to other “5-Star” resorts on our recent two-week Thailand vacation, but this was real 5-star-plus hospitality. Our Private Pool Villa was gorgeous, with breathtaking views and a level of privacy that made it feel like our own secluded spot rather than a hotel room. Liam, our private butler, made everything effortless. I assume that’s his official title, but he was more like a personal curator and trusted friend, anticipating needs before we said anything. He really found a place in our hearts. A few people especially stayed with us: Tia, a very professional waitress; Boom, who arranged outstanding artisanal cappuccinos for my mornings; and Payu at the Z-Bar, whose friendly explanation and tasting of different mango varieties was unforgettable. The spa was deeply relaxing and thoughtfully put together, and the Thai-style massage I had was the best of my life. We left feeling we’d experienced genuine hospitality, not just visited a luxury resort. We can’t wait to return.

What I’ll remember most is how the people treated me like family, from the port staff and boat driver to everyone else whose name I didn’t get. The property is beautiful, but the team is what makes it memorable. I’m already thinking about coming back. Thank you all, I truly appreciate it ❤️❤️❤️ Sunny was the highlight of my stay. She was so kind and sweet, checking in often to see if I needed anything and making my days brighter. Nilson also made sure things were going well and had a nice chat with me. I work in hospitality, so I wanted to recognize the team. My first night began badly because of an incident and a miscommunication, but Khun Tun, the Front Office Night Manager, took charge right away. He stayed calm, showed real leadership, and sorted it out with care and professionalism. He turned the situation into a positive experience. At the port, Khun Ivy, Ohmmy, and another woman whose name I’ve sadly forgotten, possibly Natasha, were all friendly and welcoming. Ivy was especially attentive, clearly explained things, and showed us around when we arrived. Dome from recreation was friendly and gave me great gym advice, going out of his way to help me enjoy my time there. Rock made the sunset kayaking trip unforgettable while looking after my safety.

The villas feel private and are nicely furnished. Ours looked out over a little cluster of trees beyond its own plunge pool. The resort is all about quiet luxury and calm, without anything gaudy or over the top. Breakfast stood out too. Instead of piling on food for the sake of abundance, The Naka had a good range of high quality items without being wasteful. We’ve stayed at quite a few luxury resorts in recent years, and I’d put this one among the best. Sunny at the front desk and Emmy in the restaurant deserve special thanks for the warm, personal service that made our five nights so lovely.
