Lazy Hut

It didn’t feel very laid-back, with German families and young kids running around and a persistent smell of weed. More like a tropical daycare. The menu is mostly Western, with some Thai dishes, and the prices are far too high. A small chicken baguette costs 140 baht, and the beef cheeseburger is tiny at 240 baht, with literally only eight fries. None of it was very tasty. The food is a joke.

The bungalow was right in front of the sea, and the bed was comfortable. But there were a few kids behind us making SO SO SO much noise from 7:30 in the morning, with no rules. I asked them to be quiet, and the parents were incredibly rude. We were glad to leave because of that particular family. They ruined the atmosphere. The room is cleaned every three days, which wasn’t often enough for us. If you want it cleaned more often, you have to pay. The glasses were dirty, too.

The people were so kind, and the location is perfect. We loved the grilled fish, the no name vegetables, and the mango sticky rice, the best we had in Thailand. This was our favorite place on the island, and I definitely recommend it.

We had dinner at the restaurant and the atmosphere was good. The service was straightforward but attentive and personal, and the team seemed to enjoy their work. The whole grilled fish was excellent and very well cooked. It’s a rare dish to find on this beach, even with all the fishing boats near the island.
