Rattana Bungalow Koh Chang

We ran into a problem with our booking, and they sorted it out really quickly. The service was very nice.

The owner, Pat, is Rattana's greatest asset: such a warm person, and we had thoughtful conversations about Thailand and all sorts of other things. The garden is beautifully kept, the views from every bungalow are charming, and hornbills often visit the lovely terrace. There's a private beach a few minutes from the bungalow. Rattana also stands out for its clean grounds, which isn't something you find everywhere else on the island. I'd wholeheartedly recommend booking here for a trip to Koh Chang Noi.

Set right up in the island's far north, this resort is a nice choice for a quiet break away from touristy islands. The bungalows are basic but have lovely sea views, and the beach is a 5-10 minute walk away. The food is consistently delicious. Electricity in the room is available from 18:00-22:00. WiFi is good when it works, though the signal drops in and out sometimes.

The bungalows are spaced well apart, so there's lots of privacy, and the free kayaks are a nice bonus. It's a friendly, cozy place to unplug for a while, with lovely ocean views, good food, and an incredibly nice owner. My only complaint was that the mattress felt too thin for my taste. Apart from that, it was well worth the price, and I'd come back.
