Kana Hotel Phuket

At the Kana International Hotel in Rawai, our room was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. It was serviced daily, and the staff were friendly and courteous. Communication was difficult because of the language barrier. You can see the beach from the upper floors, but I wouldn't describe the hotel as beach-front, despite how it was advertised.

The room felt like a studio apartment: spacious, functional and super clean. There’s a small fridge but no kitchen, which was fine since you’ll eat out anyway. Everyone working there was fantastic, friendly, helpful and caring. The cleaning ladies were always smiling, and the room felt new each day. The fourth and fifth floor views of the Andaman Sea and Lon Island are stunning and inspiring. Breakfast is on the sixth floor, with an even better view. It’s free, and includes familiar Chinese options as well as eggs, toast, cereal and some breakfast meat for western western tastes. Prices were very competitive for the area. There’s no direct route from the property to the sea, though an unofficial path runs along the north side. The shore is rocky, so it’s good for a low-tide walk. For swimming on sand, you’ll want Niharn Beach. As others have said, the exercise area isn’t as well equipped as you’d expect at a higher star hotel. I stayed for three weeks and would happily come back whenever I need a hotel in Rawai.

The pool was great and well kept, and everything was very clean. Service was exceptional, and gas stations and stores are within walking distance. I’d 100% recommend staying here again!

We stayed in the villa by the pool, and it was cleaned every day. They added free bottled water to the fridge, and the garden and pool were checked daily. There’s also a washing machine. The staff were so nice, we’ll miss them. The hotel is Chinese focused, so breakfast isn’t continental. Nearby you’ll find supermarkets, 7/11, and lots of restaurants, both Thai and more international.
