Phuket Meet Holiday Hotel

Reception were helpful and understanding when we explained that the place wasn't what we'd expected. They agreed to cancel our extra nights and give us a full refund, which we appreciated. We'd booked those additional nights before arriving for our first reservation. Once there, we found the villa for those nights had a shared kitchen and lounge, and was a long walk from the main resort. The listing hadn't made that clear. The photos also made the property look a little higher quality than it was, and for the price, it didn't feel like good value. Breakfast was very basic, and the rooms seemed a bit run down. Reception service was good, but the accommodation didn't match what we expected from the photos and price.

The pool was nice, and the location was okay, but the rooms smelled moldy and breakfast was pretty basic. They charge guests who leave food on their plates, apparently so people don't take too much. The staff were just okay, not especially helpful, just there.

Getting there from our flight, they let us check in early, and the staff were nice. Communication was difficult, though, since they didn't speak English very well and could hardly understand us. The location was terrible value for money, and there's no way to the beach. Our room door didn't close properly enough to keep mosquitoes out.

I booked for February 15-18, 2025, but left after just one night because of serious problems. The room had a severe mosquito issue, and the air conditioner wasn't working properly. Staff later admitted they already knew about it. When I felt unwell and asked for basic help, my request was ignored. They offered no proper fix, room change, or accountability, and told me to deal with it myself. After I left, I needed medical treatment for an acute viral infection. I checked out early because of the conditions, but the hotel refused to refund the unused nights. This was extremely upsetting. It points to poor hygiene, a lack of transparency, and unacceptable customer care. I can't recommend this hotel.
