I stayed for 10 days and would definitely come back. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the rooms are spacious, with a great view from the balcony. They also run a beach bus almost every hour. The main road is the downside. Motorbikes go by loudly, and you can hear people driving like crazy.

There are some practical drawbacks: Patong and Rawai Beach are a distance away, and the nearest 7-Eleven takes about a 15-minute walk. Still, there are fruit shops, halal food, and bike rentals around the area. The Rawai Princess Hotel in Phuket felt peaceful, with a lovely lobby, pool, and gym. We enjoyed the breakfast, and the views of the beach and Big Buddha were picturesque. The staff were hospitable. A calm place to stay if the location works for you.

We booked several nights but could only manage one, and lost the money we’d paid. The place was a nightmare and felt like a rip-off. The supposed free Wi-Fi worked on and off, then stopped altogether on our first day. When we asked, staff told us to use the lobby Wi-Fi. The room was grubby and neglected, service was poor, and the manager seemed to have no idea what was going on. Breakfast included with the rate was cereal and luncheon meat sitting in a vat of water. Looking back, it was a red flag that I could only find one review, presumably from a staff member. Traveller beware, stay away.

Not worth the price. The rooms have been renovated, but the bathrooms haven’t. The rooftop pool was okay, though the hotel is right by the main road and the restaurant opens onto it. Breakfast was dull, and every evening three or more buses with Chinese tourists arrived for one-night stays.
