Sunsuri Phuket

We spent seven nights at Sunsuri and had a great time. The staff were kind, helpful, and easy to reach, and there were plenty of activities for families. Our room had a lovely ocean and resort pool view, with lots of space, a fresh feel, a very comfortable bed, and a choice of pillows. The pools were large and enjoyable, and we really liked the hotel restaurant. There’s a minimart and a few shops about a five-minute walk away, though there’s no sidewalk on the way. The hotel also runs free scheduled rides to the nearby beach and back.

We keep coming back to Sunsuri Phuket, and the people are a big part of why. The sports crew led by recreation supervisor Keay made each day lively and fun. Mang is a real character and always brings a great atmosphere. We loved the volleyball and the morning water sessions, especially aqua aerobics. Everything felt well organized and full of energy. Nai Harn beach, one of Phuket’s prettiest, is about a five-minute walk away. The food was varied, tasty, and thoughtfully prepared, and our stylish, comfortable room was well cared for, a nice place to unwind after a busy day. Service was excellent throughout, with attentive, friendly staff always willing to help. We’re already looking forward to seeing everyone again, especially Keay, Mang, and the sports team.

Breakfast had a generous spread of Thai and international dishes, and the coffee was delicious. Our room looked over the lake, and it was cleaned well. The whole complex was tidy, with friendly, welcoming staff. Even when the daytime breeze scattered leaves around, they swept them up quickly. The hotel sits high on a hill among lush greenery. We borrowed the free bicycles for two hours, a nice offer, though the bikes are heavy and have no gears. The hills toward the capes and their good views are steep, so be prepared. I’d highly recommend the hotel.

The location made it easy to get to the beach, restaurants, and local shops, while the resort still felt like a private retreat. Its shuttle was very convenient. Inside, everything was spotless and well looked after, and the staff were consistently warm and helpful. Room service was prompt and dependable, and the food was impeccable. The resort has a lovely Thai character alongside a quiet, upscale feel. It never seemed too noisy or crowded, and the atmosphere worked for couples, solo travelers, and families. We especially loved the spa. The therapists gave us some of the best massages we’ve had, and having those services right there made it easy to relax. We enjoyed every moment and would gladly stay again when visiting Phuket.
