Baan Suan Siri Resort

The price was reasonable for an older room. The mattress wasn't great and the bathroom had a slight smell, but for what it cost, it was worth it.

For the price, I slept comfortably and thought it was okay overall. At such a low rate, it's hard to find something better. My room itself was old, with a cracked wall and a TV that wouldn't work. The power outlet was mounted too high and didn't look safe. The bathroom smelled musty, and the toilet had to be flushed by pouring water rather than using a flush handle. The electricity kept dipping, which was a little unsettling, though nothing happened. The resort wouldn't give me a key unless I left a 100 baht deposit.

Please get the air conditioning and power fixed. In room 72, the AC stopped working altogether. The first two nights were bearable, but the third was awful. The caretaker said every room was occupied, so I had to put up with it and sleep there. There were three of us in the room. My friend's room had a similar issue, though their AC cut out less often. Ours stopped every two minutes. The power also kept flickering, and the light shifted from white to gray. It left me feeling hot, dizzy, and nauseous, and I couldn't breathe properly in the room. It was worse than trying to sleep with a fan alone. I left for work at 9 am and got back at 7 pm, and I lost 450 baht because of this. Service late at night was lazy. Ugh.

It's peaceful and quiet, and Suan Son Beach isn't far away. The air conditioner does make a bit of noise.
