Happy Sea

Swimming in the quiet surroundings was lovely, with the nearby National Forest hills in view. The setting feels remote, almost like camping, and we’d happily recommend it if you want to get away from the crowds. The staff was very kind, and her cats and dogs were sweet and adorable. Our tiny rustic seaside house at Happy Sea had very comfortable beds and air conditioning. The window faced the water, and at night, when the tide came in, waves hit the house’s foundation. It really felt like we were right out at sea. A heads-up about access: part of the route to the resort runs along the beach, so high tide can prevent you from coming or going. We would have preferred parking a little farther from the salt water, but it was okay for one night.
