The tuk-tuk they arranged to the pier made our Koh Samet transfer easy, and the included buffet breakfast had lots of choice and was excellent for the price. We only booked this one-night stop because we wanted to be near the pier and the rate was reasonable, so arriving to find such a modern, well-kept place was a nice surprise. The room was spotless and thoughtfully laid out, with a big widescreen TV, a decent fridge, a clean bathroom, and good storage. The bed was comfortable and we slept well. A couple of things to know: the air conditioning was noisy and didn't work especially well, perhaps it just needs servicing. Also, there are quite a few stray dogs on parts of the walk toward the beach. They weren't aggressive, but a short tuk-tuk or taxi ride may be easier, especially in the evening. It was still fantastic value and a perfect overnight stop before Koh Samet. The AC is the only thing keeping it from a 10. 9/10, I'd stay again.
