Le Park 23 Boutique Resort

Breakfast was included and served in a glass pavilion overlooking a landscaped garden. It was simple, but good quality. Le Park 23 Boutique Resort had a classy feel, almost like a luxury beach stay in Florida or the Caribbean. There was a small outdoor lounge by reception, and the rooms sat in separate, discreet buildings with staggered entrances that made each feel more individual. Trees screened the large picture windows, giving a sense of privacy even though the rooms were fairly close together. My room had a comfortable king-sized bed, a large wall-mounted T.V., and a fridge, plus a useful writing desk and plenty of shelves and cabinet space for my things. The design details stood out too: polished concrete walls with thin gilt grooves running across them, blond polished cabinetry, gold lamé curtains, and several lighting options, including Danish-style modernist lamps. The bathroom felt more considered than purely functional, with imaginative lighting and polished concrete and tiled wall cladding.
