Baan Phra Chan

The person who answered the phone and handled the problem was good. I called other hotels in similar situations, and they let me stay with good service at about the same price. Here, though, they refused to reschedule my booking, so I lost money on the cancellation. The management seems very smart, but the way they handle problems is terrible. I've come across other places on agoda that wouldn't fix issues either, but this was bad, bad, bad. #agoda, please read this before booking. If I could score it out of 10, I'd give it negative 100.

I was in a rush and had work to do, and since I'm not local I didn't want to check out, so I went to sleep even though the room was unacceptable. I woke up with a red rash on my back, apparently from hairs on the mattress. It was worn and covered in cobwebs. Before that, I'd noticed dust and cobwebs by the window and on and under the table where I'd left my things. The bathroom still had the previous guest's hairs. I found several long black hairs on the blanket and sheets, even though my own hair is short and blonde, so I removed them and called housekeeping to replace the bedding. The air conditioner wasn't working because its filter was clogged and hadn't been cleaned. We had to clean it ourselves. The sign with the Wi-Fi password was missing, and the password itself was hard to use, like a 007 code. There was no phone in the room, so I had to call housekeeping on my own cell. I've stayed in lots of places, but never anything like this. That's why I'm leaving such a long review.

We stayed three nights but got drinking water for only two of them, with none on the first day. They didn't clean the room or change the towels or sheets, and the sheets had cigarette burn holes. There were ants everywhere. They charged 100 baht for each broken glass, which seemed expensive when a pack was only 49 baht on Lazada. I came because of the reviews, but the stay wasn't good at all.

The service was absolutely awful. If the rooms weren't ready for daily stays, they shouldn't have been open. Nothing seemed prepared: the power kept dropping, and the room was full of black ants. Three of us stayed, and we paid 200 for an extra bed, but it was thin, with a child's blanket and a tiny pillow. They didn't provide water or towels either. I've stayed at lots of hotels and never had an experience like this. I paid for this, and once was enough.
