Hug Sakonnakhon

The bed was really comfortable, the rooms a decent size, and they serve a small but decent breakfast. This is one of the better hotels in Sakhon Nakhon, with a genuinely nice design. In the room, though, there were no bedside reading lights, too few outlets for charging a phone and iPad, and not enough hooks or towel rails in the bathroom. It's a bit out of town, so you'll need your own transport.

It's a quiet, private place with very nice staff and good service. The location works well for my trips to Kalasin and around Sakonnakorn.

A safe in the room would be useful, but the friendly staff and good price made this a nice place to unwind. It's just outside sakon, so it suits a relaxing stay. The rooms are quite large and comfortable, though a little basic. You can hear people moving furniture because the rooms are all concrete and tile. There are some pleasant little gardens and paths outside. Well worth a stay 🙂

The hotel is new and lovely, and the beds, pillows, and air conditioning were superb. Plastic was still on the light switches. You need your own car because of the location. The room numbers are even in Thai, so it could be tricky if you can't speak or read Thai. Breakfast was nice but spicy, with a small bacon option that gets refilled now and then. There wasn't a knife for spreading butter on the toast. I'd definitely stay again.
