Ingnatee Resort (SHA Extra Plus)

We stayed in a lagoon-side villa with a veranda and comfy chairs, perfect for sitting outside in the evening. It felt far from the city, surrounded by greenery and swamps beside the Chaophraya. The resort was peaceful, and everyone was welcoming and made sure we had what we needed. Dinner had a good range of Thai dishes and was delicious, with almost everything containing mushrooms grown on site. They also have vegetable and chicken farms. Breakfast was good, though the selection was small. Our children are 8 and 6. We paid for one extra bed, and one child slept on the sofa. Both were happy. We’ll be back.

I spent more than a month here, and it worked really well for an extended stay. Each room is its own cottage, so there’s plenty of privacy. The grounds are lush and tropical, with a peaceful pond, and the pool looks out over the river. Most rooms face the smaller pond. You need to order food ahead, but it’s tasty and affordable. The manager speaks excellent English and is reachable on his cell 24/7.

The dishes are made with produce from their own garden, and everything tasted clean and fresh 🌿. Two designers run the resort, and their style fits naturally into the surroundings. It sits right by the main River, with a small canal cutting through, so you get a real sense of nature in motion. It’s a three-star place with a satisfying range of facilities.

The fried rice was dry, small, and expensive, which is why I took off a star. Still, I had a good stay overall. The resort itself is beautiful, and the staff were really kind and helpful.
