My room was spacious and comfortable, and I especially liked having a balcony with a sea view for morning coffee. This is a lovely little place right on the beach. The ground-floor bar and restaurant are very popular, with all-day Happy Hour, loads of drinks to choose from, and good food.

We only stayed two nights, and because the place was fully booked, we had to adjust one day, 30th and 1st January. On the last night, it seemed like something underneath was bothering us. I found a red polished nail, so I guess the linens aren’t changed.

The draft beers were good and, most importantly, cold, and the barman was friendly and poured a great one. We stopped at the bar for one each, then left because we don’t smoke and didn’t want to sit breathing in other people’s smoke. Restaurant customers use the bar area to smoke. It’s a shame, since it’s a large bar with room for a non-smoking section, and there’s a good sunset view.

I only found out the hotel was temporarily closed or under renovation after I arrived. I’d learned about it through Booking, then had to look for another place to stay. What a waste of time. They should at least update their status on social media.
