The Green Beach Resort

We borrowed the free bikes to ride along the coast road. They were pretty worn, but got us there and back fine. The beach is just a minute away, and our basic room was clean. Staff were friendly and gave us a lovely welcome. It was very quiet during our visit. Breakfast started as a buffet on the first morning because a coach group was staying; once there were only a few guests, it switched to an a la carte menu, which was still good. We stayed three nights from Saturday and got to visit the beach night market. Great range of street food, including a hog roast.

The restaurant had good choices for breakfast and lunch, plus several iced coffees. Our family room was a good size, with the living room separated from the bedroom. The pool was nice for swimming and had a separate shallow section for kids. They provide one small bottle of water each day, so you'll need to buy extra.

We found this the most comfortable place of our two-month trip and would happily stay again. There’s a direct little path to the beach, with restaurants nearby, and the weekly market is there too. Both rooms we tried, garden deluxe and pool deluxe, were comfortable. The huge pool is good for swimming lengths, with plenty of loungers and sofas around the grass and pool, plus towels. Free bikes are available, and golf buggies can help with luggage. We saw several cyclists staying here and parking their bikes beside their rooms. There’s also a washing machine and drying space, which we used twice for 30 bht. Breakfast was delicious, with lots of Thai and Western options: pancakes, waffles, lovely breads, salad, yoghurt, fresh orange and apple juice, and Twinnings tea. The cafe and breakfast area was very clean. The woman working there was friendly, personable, and greeted us with a smile each morning. There’s a small shop for essentials, snacks, drinks, and even beer. The staff were courteous and the resort is very well looked after. It really has everything.

We were hoping for somewhere more intimate, but this is a beautiful resort near the beach, with spacious, clean, comfortable rooms and a very large, peaceful pool. The staff were pleasant and attentive, and everyone spoke English. You can borrow bicycles for free to get around. Nearby restaurants were decent, though they seemed more geared to Western tastes than traditional Thai food. Breakfast was generous and served in a large room, and the hotel also offers excursions. We cut our stay short and were refunded for the unused day, a thoughtful gesture. Thanks again. One thing to know: Grab buses are practically nonexistent here, so don't rely on them, and taxi fares are much higher.
