The main pool was nice, and the condo I stayed in during January was roomy and up to date. But its downstairs bathroom smelled like sewage, there was no hot water, no coffee maker or other usual amenities, and only the upstairs AC worked. The gym was pretty minimal, while the restaurant looked empty and uninviting. Getting to the beach took a 20-minute walk along a busy road with no shoulder. Conditions probably differ by unit, but this place may suit you if you're after something cheap and don't mind an adventure. Just don't let the photos make you expect a luxury property.

The landlord stopped replying to our complaints. Furniture was broken, the locks didn't work, and there was no extra toilet paper, soap, or garbage bags. All the batteries in the aircon controllers were dead, and the lights and plugs were cut off.

The rooftop pool had a great view, and the amenities were good. It's around a 15-minute walk to the beach. The staff were incredibly welcoming and the service was extraordinary, though we had an odd stay in a room with no windows, which saved us some money.

The pool is large and set among greenery, and the on-site restaurant serves tasty food at reasonable prices. It's a beautiful, peaceful place with full facilities and excellent security, great for relaxing. I'd definitely return if I get the chance.

The room was very spacious, and I was really happy with the staff and their cleaning service. Kamala beach is easy to reach on foot, so the location worked well.
