Away Bangkok Riverside Kene

The riverside café is a real highlight, especially for watching the sunrise. Breakfast was great too, and the pool area was nice. It’s a peaceful place with a distinctive look and lovely aesthetics. Most of the staff were helpful, though one receptionist was quite impolite, which was disappointing.

We found the pool relaxing, and its depth felt safe for kids. The hotel is near the Chao Phraya river, with a modern style. A cart was available to take us to and from our room when needed. There were free shuttle vans at set times to Asiatique and Iconsiam. Our driver Sam communicated well in English and even waited when we were running a little late. We had a good stay and would come back.

The café and rooftop bar have mesmerizing views of the Chao Phraya River, and the hotel’s architecture gives you plenty of spots for photos. It’s one of the most beautiful hotels I’ve stayed in. Our spacious rooms had a minimalist design, and golf carts took us between the lobby and our room. Free shuttles also run to IconSiam, Asiatique, and the nearby metro station. Breakfast was included, with delicious food and lots of choice. Service felt a bit slow. The pool looks impressive, but because it’s covered, the water was too cold for me to want to dive in.

The restaurant sits right beside the Chao Phraya River, with a lovely view of the cruise boats at night. Staff were attentive, polite, and helpful. I booked a “Chill room.” It was spacious, with a comfortable bed, mini fridge, coffee maker, safe, hangers, and a bathroom hairdryer. There’s no bathtub, and the room has no view window, just a small glass door that opens onto a little outside space. There was only one trash can, in the bathroom. No iron or ironing board was in the room, but housekeeping can bring them if you ask the front desk.
