Baan Talay See Cream Resort

The whole hotel complex is beautiful, and the staff were very friendly, polite and helpful. Breakfast was really big. Rooms were very clean but a little old, and the pool was closed. There weren’t many guests. I’d choose a second-floor room for a good lake view. It’s a quiet place, just a minute’s walk from the sea, though there’s little to do in the evening. Almost every restaurant closes between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. The room rate including breakfast felt a bit high, but still acceptable, and the staff’s friendliness made up for it.

The staff gave excellent service from check-in right through checkout. I was cycling solo through Thailand after all my friends cancelled on me, so this was another great stop on the trip. The riverside setting had wonderful views, and there was even a pool. Dinner was nice, while breakfast was the usual fare. I need new friends.

A quiet, great place to stay, with a market and a beautiful waterside park across the street. The people working here are very nice.

After four days in Bangkok, we wanted some peace and a taste of coastal nature, and this place let us properly relax. The lagoon view was extraordinary, with wildlife all around: crane birds, monitor lizards, macaque monkeys, mudskippers and lots of other bird species. On a night walk we even came across a monocled cobra! Across the street there’s a big fish market and an amazing temple with a sea view. The resort staff were VERY kind and booked us a boat trip through the mangroves. It’s also a great place for hiking through Thailand’s agricultural wetlands. We were the only guests, which made it feel even more special. Breakfast was everything we hoped for, and the people were so nice. The resort itself is a bit outdated, but that adds to the experience. We loved it and had nothing to complain about.
