Bayphere Hotel Pattaya

The 1-Bedroom Suite was roomy, quiet, and comfortable, with a soft bed that let me sleep well for all three days and two nights over New Year. I’d asked for a honeymoon setup and appreciated the lovely decorations and little welcome cake. Service was less satisfying. Check-in took nearly an hour because the room wasn’t ready, and a few staff replies about promotions and requests came across as unprofessional. I also found the breakfast buffet layout confusing and missed some sections. Hot water problems, slow elevators, and housekeeping not being done as requested added to the issues. The room and atmosphere were very good, but the service didn’t meet expectations, especially during a busy holiday stay.

We had dinner at the property on both nights, and the service was very slow. On the first evening our waitress seemed grumpy. The next night we ordered fried chicken at 6:20 and it didn’t arrive until 7:45, so we waited over an hour for one dish. We also got three different answers about when breakfast ended: 10:30 at the front desk, 10:00 from staff inside, and 11 from restaurant staff. The place needs maintenance too, since our room had a broken door handle.

We felt at home, with what we joked was “princess treatment,” thanks to the warm help from everyone, from reception and bell staff to the waiters and housekeeping. Waan especially made sure we were comfortable. We had to switch rooms twice, and Waan handled both moves smoothly and without stress. During one change we left both passports and an expensive pair of sunglasses behind by accident. Waan and housekeeping kept them safe and returned everything, and we’re very grateful for their honesty and kindness. There are two lovely rooftop pools, and the beach is just steps away behind the hotel. Restaurants, a bar, and evening shows are down by the beach. We had an amazing stay and will definitely come back.

The room was comfortable, the hotel itself is nice, and we had no major problems. The service could use more attention to detail, though. We got beach towels on the first day only. For the next two days, we had to ask reception for fresh ones ourselves, even though housekeeping had taken away the used towels during cleaning. Reception asked whether we’d told staff in advance, which was disappointing. Guests shouldn’t have to keep requesting such a basic item. Better communication and service would improve the stay.
