Dor-Shada Resort By The Sea

This visit makes 20 times I’ve stayed at this resort. Once you start coming, it becomes a second home. The place is on the beach, with a huge, well-maintained property, great facilities, lovely decor, big rooms with balconies, and a huge pool. The Thai-style structure is the main charm, and I love the retro look. If you want glass buildings, this isn’t the place for you. There’s a small bar and restaurant by the beach, another bar by the pool, and a very nice gym. The food is good and the service awesome. Nothing has changed in a positive way since my first visit eight years ago. I’m impressed by the size and upkeep of the property, and the old style is the best part. The staff are amazing, the management is good, and every staff member gives very good service. Rooms are clean and huge. This resort is great in every way, and I hope it continues this way. My one suggestion on an earlier visit was that housekeeping needed a little more training: they forgot to wash the glasses, though the room was otherwise cleaned very well. I’d like to keep coming back on every trip if the owners can offer a special price for return visits.

It was such a quiet, relaxing place, and I really enjoyed my stay. The deluxe room still looked new, was clean, and didn’t seem old at all. It’s very well maintained. With five-star hotels on either side, the location feels like a sure sign of a great spot.

This is such a good deal that I almost want to keep the address to myself for my family. The room, swimming pool, and beach were all clean, and it’s just outside the highway from Bangkok. You can see the maintenance and improvements from year to year.

We came with BFA for a training camp, and the resort was very beautiful. The staff were helpful, and the hotel was fantastic. I’d definitely recommend it. The rooms were spacious, well designed, and clean, with clean bathrooms, though bad smells sometimes came through. I’d rate the rooms 9.3/10. Our building was nice and clean, but the corridors could use a bit of AC, so 8/10. The pool was cool and clean, with a fantastic sea view, 9.1/10. We tried a full meal just once. It was delicious, but could have used more salt, 7.2/10.
