Sand Dollar Boutique Hotel

The location worked well, and the area was quiet. The room itself was nice, but at night it stayed very bright because of the neighboring buildings and the bedroom had no blackout curtain. The toilet smelled strongly of sewage, and during our three nights nobody came to clean the room. We had hot water for only about one day. Staff were kind when around, but the front desk was often unattended. At roughly 3,000 baht a day, it really wasn't worth the price. I’m writing this because the high ratings led me to expect something much better.

The place had a peaceful, serene feel even though we stayed over a party-filled Rolling Loud weekend. My cousin and I had a great time, and I already plan to come back as soon as I can. The staff were incredibly accommodating, the food was insanely good, and the barista in the converted airstream makes the best Thai iced tea lattes I’ve ever had. There’s a very private saltwater pool and a private beach just a five-minute walk away. I also got to meet the owner and chat with them in the common area. I’m only a little salty they didn’t offer to adopt me.

Breakfast was sublime. We had the healthy option with avocado toast and a perfectly poached egg, and dinner was great too: their green curry was one of the best I’ve tasted in Thailand. The beach is only a short walk away. The hotel feels new and modern, the room was spacious and very clean, and the staff were super friendly and helpful. Service was top of the line.

The staff made the stay for me. Everyone was thoughtful and attentive, and I’d happily return. The rooms were clean and had everything we needed, while the pool was well kept and had a great vibe. I especially loved the avocado toast at breakfast. Thanks for a lovely stay.
