The location is wonderful, and the beach and fish you can see while snorkeling make up for the hotel's worn condition and need for some maintenance. Nothing seemed like a major concern. It's a three star hotel with clean beds and linens; the mattress was a bit firm, but not too bad. Breakfast was okay, with bread, pancakes, eggs, fruit, and Thai dishes. I missed having yoghurt and müsli. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I'd definitely recommend it and would happily stay again.

A total nightmare. The resort was dirty and falling apart, with ridiculously expensive meals that were disgusting and inedible. Sewage overflowed all over the bathroom, making it hazardous. The manager seemed completely out of control. When I raised issues, they cancelled my booking and threw me out without hesitation, threatening me in every way. I can't believe this place is still open and listed online. It should be shut down immediately and removed from Booking, Agoda, and every other site. I booked here, but ran away after just a few hours and didn't get a single cent refunded.

Noon/Nuun and Aisha were so sweet and helpful, and really made our stay a 10/10. We had a great experience at Kathalee. The resort was peaceful and sat on a lovely stretch of beach for swimming, with breakfast served right on the sand, even though the food was very basic. For the price compared with other island resorts, it felt like great value, especially with such a lovely sea view from our room.

The staff are excellent, and the rooms were really nice and clean. It's a pleasant, secluded spot if that's what you're after. I'd recommend it.

The restaurant was pretty simple, though there are plenty of other places nearby. We liked our stay, and the price felt okay for what we got. The beach is good, and snorkeling from shore was okay too.
