Navakiri Boutique Resort Satun

We only meant to stop for one night, but enjoyed it enough to stay for two. The poolside bar was great and the smoothies were delicious. It's a lovely, boho chic place with first class staff, and the price felt very reasonable for this quality of hotel. Keep in mind it's out of town, so it may not work if you need facilities close by. For a few relaxing days, though, it's perfect. Thanks for having us! 🩷

It was so peaceful in the evenings, just the kind of place to get away from a busy life. I could easily have spent four nights here, and would recommend staying at least two. This resort is about two years old, set among villages off the main road towards Hatyai or Padang Besar, Malaysia. The design is tasteful. Families with kids may like the ground floor rooms that open straight onto the pool. Breakfast is available on site, and for other meals you'll need to drive 1 to 5km.

The staff are so warm and welcoming, and they really make you feel at home. That's a big part of why this has become a favourite stop for us. We've stayed twice in under three months and extended our visit both times. We first found it by chance on a road trip, just after it opened, and later it went viral for its desert-inspired look. It's a small, quiet resort, with a limited number of rooms over two floors, which gives it a private feel. We like the ground floor rooms with direct pool access, and the family rooms are lovely and spacious for kids. The pool can get really cold, so a heater would help. The town is peaceful and sleepy, so you'll need a car to explore. Breakfast at the coffee house is a simple but satisfying local spread. Just remember it's only open until noon. Room service is available too. We'll keep coming back on our annual road trip to Thailand.

The veranda is a nice place to unwind and watch the sunrise or sunset, and the rooms are spacious. There's a good breeze here because the hotel is near the hill. The pool is beautiful, but being in the middle of the hotel can feel uncomfortable when other guests are watching you swim. This is considered the most luxurious hotel in Satun, though it's far from everything. Even 7 eleven is 1 km away, so you'll need good transport. You also have to take the stairs to reach the second story.
