Our studio at the Reef Hotel and Residence had a balcony, and both the room and bathroom were spacious and clean. The staff were kind and polite, but always seemed rushed. Breakfast was a set continental selection of sweet and savory food, with drinks and coffee included. I would've liked a Thai or Asian option, maybe a buffet with more variety, especially given the room price compared with what's provided. I understand the environmental policy, but two towels per guest and at least two teaspoons by the kettle would have been helpful.

The forest studio was even better than we expected. Rainy weather made it feel extra cozy, and those big windows were lovely. Our room was quiet, really clean, and had a comfortable bed. The staff were so friendly and attentive, and the whole hotel feels thoughtfully put together, with a lot of care in the details. We spent ages on the plant-filled terrace, eating a delicious vegan breakfast and planning the day. Some of the non-vegan items can be made vegan, and the coffee was really, really good. Great location, too. Book on their website if you can, it's cheaper for you and better for them :)

The included breakfast was great. You could get breakfast or a sandwich for free once a day, up until 4 pm. We had a studio, and hadn't realized the bed was in an upstairs loft, but it worked out nicely. The glass partition in the shower was a plus, and the upstairs sitting area was quiet. I'd recommend it if you're comfortable using the stairs in the studio. There were other room types, but they weren't available when we booked.

We really liked the breakfast, and the place was quiet but still close to the beach. Our studio had a bed on the upper floor and a great terrace with a fan where we could relax. The room was spacious and mostly very clean, though the upstairs floor could've been cleaner. No TV was the only other downside. All in all, a great place with a nice idea.

The breakfast at Mojo cafe is always so good. We tried the grilled chicken sandwich, ham&cheese sandwich, and Honey Nut Granola, and I'd love to work my way through the whole menu. There's also a mini Mojo cafe on Walking Street, handy for grabbing food or a drink. We first stayed at The Reef in 2012, came back in 2016, and returned again in 2024. It's still our favorite place to stay in Koh Lipe. The location is ideal, within walking distance of the beaches and walking street, and we love the atmosphere and surroundings. We've stayed in a Family room once and a Family balcony twice. Definitely coming back again, highly recommended ❤️
