Pacific Park Place

I was there from 7 Feb to 8 Feb for a vote by a member of the house of representatives. It was handy being close to the main road and shopping mall, and easy to walk out for street food in the evening. The room was okay and the service was okay too. My one request is to provide more keycards, since one wasn't enough for two or more people.

The hotel is much bigger inside than it appears from the street. It has a refined Japanese style, and the rooms feel new, spacious, and very clean. The facilities are good, and the restaurant serves tasty food at reasonable prices.

The balcony had a beautiful view, and the staff were very cordial. My room was large and tidy, with a full-size fridge, microwave, and electric kettle. There was also a big wardrobe with a gown and slippers. A very pleasant stay.

I'd stay here again and recommend it, but a few things may matter depending on what you're looking for. Parking was never a problem for us. There was a large open lot across from the entrance, which the hotel used for free parking, plus an underground garage and spaces on the street and beside the building. The employees were also super friendly and helpful. The bed is rock hard, so whether that's okay depends on your preference. The bathroom is huge but has a lot of wasted space. I like walk-in showers in Thailand, but here you have to climb into a bathtub to shower. Getting over that high side could be tough for older people, and the slippery surface needs care for anyone. There is a handle to help you get out safely, at least. I had no cleanliness complaints: no marks on the sheets or hair left by a previous guest in the room or bathroom. My standards may have dropped, though. I don't usually eat hotel breakfast, so I don't have much to compare it with, but I found the food tasty. Don't arrive too late or the best things may be gone. Skip the croissants, they're dense and not fluffy, and the coffee was mediocre at best. I haven't found good coffee at any hotel I've stayed at so far, though, so maybe you'll like this one.
