The themed rooms are full of picture-perfect Disney and anime scenes that adults can enjoy too. You can rent costumes for 150 baht and wear them until you get tired, as the owner put it. The café is surprisingly affordable, even cheaper than Café Amazon, and I liked the taste more. It’s near Khao Yai, with decent accommodation that includes breakfast.

The family running the place welcomed us with such warm smiles. I didn’t expect the castle to feel so much like Disneyland, and the costume room has an incredible number of outfits, with just about every character you can think of. It was absolutely magical, even better than I imagined. A must if you’re in the area!

We picked the red-door Hobbit room. The inside was all white, more like a Frozen castle, but that round door was fun. I’m a Lord of the Rings fan, so staying in a Hobbit-themed house was a treat. The room was spacious enough for my kid to run around, had the amenities we wanted, and the shower worked perfectly. Breakfast was good too, with Thai porridge plus some meat and salad. There’s plenty to wander around and explore, with lots of stairs to climb. Some things feel random, like a little Santorini beside Hobbiton or a big pig in a Hobbit house, but that adds to the charm. A few areas are run down, though I really have to give credit for the work and care put into building and maintaining the place. The main castle and photo backdrops were cool, too, with a strange mix of Disney, Harry Potter, and Hobbit themes. You can pick an outfit to dress up in for photos, and there are lots of details to enjoy. Since we were staying at the hotel, we could walk around in the morning and evening. Visitors pay a 100 baht entrance fee. It’s a bit far from central Khaoyai, so dinner options nearby may be limited. We ended up at a local grilled pork place that was cheap and really nice. We’d love to come back and explore more. It was a fun stay and attraction, not the most polished place, but still a thoroughly enjoyable trip outside the main Khaoyai area for the price.

Fairytale themes are everywhere in this beautiful place, and the rooms are spacious.

I only came to see the castles and Hobbit house, not to stay. They look very realistic and make great photo settings, with some purpose-built spots and clothing available for more authentic pictures. You can access quite a few areas, including the castle bridge and throne. Some parts of the buildings do look old, though, and could use renovation.
