There’s a 7-Eleven right across the road, and Big C is close too, so the location is handy. The downside is the main road: during Songkran, cars park there and blast music, which gets really unbearable. The toilet seat is also starting to get mouldy.
The second room was okay, but the first had such a wet, mouldy patch beside the bed that weeds were growing there. The mattress was hard, and there was no daily cleaning. It’s close to 7-Eleven and Big C, though they’re pretty stingy with toiletries and water.
I paid for my full week at the Khao Sadao camp upfront, then they asked for a 200 baht deposit and never gave it back. Warning ⚠️ If you leave a deposit, you won’t get it back. Thieves!!!
The road-facing rooms are really noisy because of the crazy young scooter boy, so avoid those. Otherwise, it’s cheap, clean, and the staff are always smiling. The main street market is a five-minute walk, and there’s also a newly opened restaurant near the Apt with very good food. Dinner is around 200-300 baths per person, or 500 if you drink a lot like in the picture below. ps: Good place to stay during Paragliding holidays @Khao Sadao.
