Phapok Eco Resort

On our second visit, we found a cockroach on the bed. When we told the staff, they just replied, “ok, we'll clean.” The food servings were also much smaller than the menu pictures suggested. It was good last year, but this year the cleanliness, honesty, and customer service all need serious improvement.

The hotel is quiet and green, along the road to the well-known Khao Krachom view point trail. The employees were lovely, and the spacious pool villas are clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed. They provide air purifiers too. The restaurant was a letdown: dinner took a long time, and the food was disappointing for the price. The pumpkin soup was good, but the pizza was hard and tasted like the dough had margarine in it. There was only one shrimp in the pineapple fried rice. In the room, the bathroom water wouldn’t flow, the AC light was too bright and couldn’t be switched off at night, and the WiFi was very unstable, perhaps depending on the villa. Netflix on the TV would be nice.

The meals were better than I expected, and the staff made a real difference. We had a great time here with the family. The room was good, and despite being in the forest there were no bugs or mosquitoes. I’ll have to make time to come back every year.

We were lucky to have the whole resort to ourselves, and it felt like a peaceful little paradise. The staff at Phapok Eco Resort were very polite and helpful, doing more than expected to make our stay special. A magical place to unwind, and I’d highly recommend it if you want to relax and be treated like royalty.
