The Legendha Sukhothai

This was my favourite hotel on my trip around Thailand, though sadly I only stayed one night. The little houses were lovely, the beds were perfect, and breakfast was perfect too. The massage was one of the best I had on the trip. It was also the first night I’d slept well.

The main annoyance was light getting into the room at night. They leave the outside lights on, and a window above the door lets it all through, which made it hard for my husband and me to fall asleep. They should consider covering it. Otherwise, the hotel was huge and well maintained, with clean, comfortable rooms. The dark wood looked a bit dated, though I think they’ve tried to make the style as traditionally Thai as possible. The pool was lovely, warm and calming, with a bar beside it. Breakfast had lots of options, and it’s a good location, just a four-minute drive from the historic park. I’d recommend staying for a night.

The quiet setting and welcoming staff made the stay memorable. The gardens are beautiful, the rooms comfortable, and staying at Legenda Sukhothai feels a bit like being in a traditional Thai village. It’s well placed for exploring Sukhothai Historical Park. A good choice if you enjoy a peaceful atmosphere and Thai hospitality, especially if you’re interested in the culture.

The staff were so sweet and helpful, always paying attention and doing thoughtful little things. I loved the central pool, which gets plenty of morning sun but stays peaceful and relaxing through the day. There’s also a quiet river flowing nearby that adds a lovely touch. The hotel is close to the Old City and all the essential shops. I had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend it.
