Everyone was so kind, and renting bikes was easy. The breakfast was delicious, and it’s an easy walk into town. It was such a peaceful, relaxing place to stay in old sukhothai. The pool was a huge bonus and a great way to cool off in the heat.

The staff were friendly, but cleanliness really needs attention. There was dust in the corners, the bathroom door had mold, spider webs were on the tea table by the entrance, and exposed bathroom wires seemed dangerous. The room felt old, cramped, and dark, with no room for luggage or clothes. There was no kettle, and I had to borrow a hairdryer from reception that had frayed wires. The bed was wobbly, and the old blanket and sheet felt unclean and weren’t warm. The facilities were outdated too: outlets buzzed and were broken, the lamp switch didn’t work properly, the door lock seemed likely to jam, and the water heater couldn’t keep its temperature when the water flow was higher. I’d booked two nights, but the dirt kept me from sleeping well, so I left the next day. Paying over 1000 baht for this was extremely disappointing. The hotel needs a complete renovation and repairs, and shouldn’t be operating in this condition.

The owners were really friendly and welcoming, and we’d happily stay here again. It’s been our favourite place in Thailand, so peaceful and relaxing. The pool is gorgeous and a welcome treat. Breakfast has been the best of our trip so far, with coconut pudding, honeycomb, fruit, toast, eggs, and as much coffee as you like. We highly recommend it.

The owner even sent me an item I’d forgotten there by courier to Bangkok. That kind of service makes a difference, thank you. The bungalow was clean and spacious, set among gardens and hammock areas where you can relax. It all looks a little old but is well preserved, which gives it charm. The mattress is quite hard, though you can ask for an extra softer one to put on top and sleep better. The pool is big enough for a dip after walking around the historical park. Breakfast was good, with fruit, bread, jam, coffee/tea, coconut pudding, and omelette, a nice start to the day.
