I booked a room for tonight through booking.com and asked during booking if I could arrive after midnight, since my bus was due then. The next day they replied that the hostel was fully booked the day after my booking, which wasn’t what I’d asked. I emailed again about late check-in and got no answer. Later I called; they picked up, but hung up as soon as I introduced myself. I texted the same question and finally got a reply hours later. Since the booking was non-refundable, I politely asked if they could cancel it. They said they would and would let me know once it was done. The next day there was no message. I asked again, waited hours without an answer, then got an email saying I couldn’t change the booking date, which I hadn’t asked to do. I followed up about the promised cancellation and heard nothing. After several more texts, they eventually said I had to email them first so they could cancel. When I asked for the address, they then told me I had to cancel it myself and they couldn’t do it for me 😅 I understand I shouldn’t have booked while unsure about arriving late. Usually this isn’t an issue, and some places can leave a key somewhere. I also understand that I chose a non-refundable rate. What I don’t understand is being ignored, having calls hung up on, and being told something would be done when they weren’t going to do it. It could be a nice hostel, I didn’t see it, but the customer service was extremely poor. This could all have gone better with polite, honest replies on time.

Good value for money, and the hostel is clean. There’s free coffee or tea, hot showers, and very helpful staff. I checked in on January 20.

The capsules are spacious and it wasn’t crowded at all. The front desk lady was super helpful and nice. Beds and showers were clean, and I felt very safe. I don’t mind a firmer mattress, so the bed worked well for me. I think it was a large twin. The lights outside stay on, so bring an eye mask if you want a completely dark room. I slept fantastically. It’s a perfect place to catch the ferry to Koh Tao. Thank you so much!

The rooftop and complimentary water and coffee were nice extras. I had a really good one-night stay, and the price felt well worth it.
