Surin Majestic Hotel

The restaurant's Thai food was the best I've tasted on holiday, with great quality and such nice presentation. The rooms are big, and the beds are comfortable. The staff were super helpful and sweet. Best hotel I've stayed at in Thailand.

On my early 2023 visit, the room had been refreshed. Last time, mine felt old and worn. The hotel is still near the town centre and train station, which is handy if you're taking an overnight sleeper train, also recommended. As far as I know, it's the only hotel with a pool right in town. Breakfast is still reasonable, too. The room was clean, the bed firm but comfortable, and someone made a great choice with the pillows. I didn't have much reason to speak with staff, but they were polite when I did. They let us check in early at 4:30 am, though that depends on whether a room is available. Nothing fancy, just a pleasant, comfortable hotel.

The staff were amazingly polite and ready to help, both at reception and in the restaurant. I even rented a motor scooter from the hotel at a reasonable price. The location worked especially well for me: next to the bus station, but arranged so the crowds didn't feel like they were right around the property. The railway station is only a few meters away, and direct airport pickup and drop-off cost a reasonable 400Thb. The rooms were clean. The property isn't ultra-modern, but it has the facilities, including a large pool and gym, and hot running water around the clock. Breakfast wasn't great, though there was a buffet with a few Thai dishes and a regular English breakfast. I picked it at random after reading a few reviews for my three-night stay, and it turned out to be one of the best in Surin. I'm really pleased with the experience and will choose Surin majestic next time I'm in Surin.

The staff were very friendly. The room was very clean and had a bathtub, which is unusual these days. There was also a good-sized pool and a well-equipped gym. Great location.
