We phoned ahead about bringing our two dogs, one small and one medium-sized, for a one-night booking. They said it was fine and that they’d add a 400 baht supplement. We drove from kalasin to surin, only to be told on arrival that they allow small dogs only, and they turned us away. We wouldn’t have made the trip if they’d told us that when we called. Finding a dog-friendly hotel was already very hard. I was disgusted by the owners’ attitude. The gardens looked nice, but I can’t comment on the rooms. If you’re booking with dogs, be careful.

I stayed long term and the staff were so nice. The garden is wonderful, and the place is really clean. It’s good value, too. Nearby you’ve got everything from the best burger in town to laundry, 7/11, an ATM, a local store, a restaurant, and a small fruit and vegetable market.

I was very unhappy with how this went. I booked through Agoda, but the hotel said my payment hadn’t processed and that I had to pay again to get a room. The charge had gone through and appeared on my credit card bill, but they still refused to refund me. I wound up paying twice for one room. Agoda contacted them, and they declined the refund request. I definitely wouldn’t book online if you plan to stay here.

The staff are lovely, and the rooms are nice and super clean. The location could be better, and the shower pressure is very low, but it’s still a very good place to stay in Surin.

They charge 200 baht to stay with a pet, and I don’t see any reason for that policy. The staff were terrible. I refused to pay and get ripped off.
