Vanasin Residence

The room was clean, but the slippers they gave us weren’t new. The extra bed we paid over 600THB for was tiny and didn’t feel like a bed. Still, the breakfast was by far the worst part. It was completely different from the website and review photos. Google says this is a 5 star hotel, but breakfast was just toast in a plastic bag like it came from a supermarket, boiled egg, sunny side up, fried chicken and porridge. No vegetables or fruit, and only INSTANT coffee. We stayed at a no star hotel in Sukhothai, and its breakfast was much better. There were very few guests around. One family left the breakfast area right after their son saw the food, and there was one couple and 2people at the hotel. We were the only ones eating breakfast. I can’t stop wondering if they served us poorly because there were fewer guests, even though we stayed on a Saturday night. I messaged and emailed about the breakfast, but they stopped replying. Before I booked, they’d answered promptly. It’s sad and very disappointing. I wouldn’t have written this review if they’d replied. I don’t recommend this hotel.

We didn’t book ahead, so we stopped in to ask whether we could see a room. From the street, the place doesn’t look like much, but once you’re through the gate, it’s peaceful and tranquil. The photos really don’t do it justice. The reception staff kindly showed us around, and the greenery, waterfall features and wooden design had us in love with the place straight away. We picked Baan Vanasin after seeing the Google reviews and photos, and it exceeded our expectations. Our room kept that calm feeling going. It was spotless and very spacious, with lots of electrical outlets, a really comfortable bed, and a large bathroom with a great shower. The bedroom and bathroom were beautifully designed. There was no TV in our room and the Wi-Fi wasn’t great, but I didn’t mind. The atmosphere made me want to disconnect and relax, so that’s what I did. It was a comfortable, peaceful stay, and I’d absolutely book here again when I’m in the area. Highly recommended.

The resort felt cozy, beautiful and peaceful, and we loved it. The staff went out of their way to help us, even with all our luggage when we checked in. The rooms are spacious and fully loaded, and the balcony was comfortable and cozy. It was an amazing place at a great price. They gave us iced tea as a farewell present. If we’re ever back in Thailand, we’d definitely return.

The breakfast was a real highlight, with a great range and quality of food in a comfortable, inviting dining area. There’s also a lovely recreational space and bike rentals. Our room in the charming teak wooden house was spacious, spotless and thoughtfully furnished, with a balcony. The shower glass and taps were spotless too, and the balcony curtains kept out light and noise. The room and bathroom had a pleasant scent. From arrival to departure, everything felt seamless. The receptionist greeted us warmly, walked us from the car to reception, made sure we were comfortable, collected our documents and efficiently passed them to staff for processing. The teamwork made check-in easy and enjoyable. It was an awesome stay, and we’ll definitely come back next time. I can’t recommend this hotel highly enough.
