The restaurant served good food, and the grounds were immaculate. The rooms felt a little dated, and the resort is a bit on the edge, so I’d give four stars for the rooms and location. They ran a shuttle to the night market on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday for 50 thb one way. A regular taxi was 200thb. Would I stay again? Definitely.

The staff were incredible and there’s a small private beach. The hotel feels a bit old by modern standards, though it didn’t bother us too much. Everything else about the location was good: far enough from the busy streets to be quiet, but close enough to get into town quickly, even on foot. The AC in our room didn’t work very well.

We first came to Ayara Villas Khaolak 20years ago in 2005 and have now returned to the same place. Nothing has changed. The staff were incredibly welcoming, our room was spacious and spotless, and the beach was just steps away. It was peaceful and clean, and a perfect spot for sunsets. We had a fantastic stay, and I’d happily recommend it if you’re looking for somewhere quiet. I’d definitely come again.

We expected something more modern, but the hotel is pretty old, at least in the beachfront villas. We couldn’t close the door properly, and either the aircon or fridge in our friends’ room was leaking. Breakfast didn’t have many choices, the beach wasn’t nice, and there were a few unfinished construction projects. We spent two days out on the islands, so we weren’t at the hotel much. It was just somewhere to sleep.

The atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing, just right for a quiet getaway. Everything impressed me. The hotel was very clean and well maintained, and the room was comfortable with a fresh scent when I walked in. The facilities were complete, easy to use, and in good condition. All the staff were friendly, polite, and very helpful.
