Banana Lodge

Banana lodge was a lovely stay. The sea front is about a 25min walk, and renting a bike is a good idea for exploring this lovely part of Thailand. You can rent one at the end of the path across the main road. The tenant and staff were very friendly, trustworthy, and accommodating, and did their best to handle any requests. Everything was very clean. They can also do laundry on sight, washed and ironed for 50B/kg!

The room was clean and had Aircon, the bed was comfy, and the towels were clean. It’s quite a walk to most things, and they don’t offer a bicycle. Their motobike is expensive, 3x the AVG. The owner tried to walk into our room at 8am. Luckily it was locked, so he knocked and asked us to open up because he wanted to fix the TV. We told him no later. The windows and walls are thin, so you hear everything from next door and outside. That was rough when other guests partied till 2am and cars came and went at all hours.

Very dubious businessmen. We checked booking and saw 1 room free, but decided to drive over and see the place instead of booking right away. When we got there, the owner said there were no more free rooms. Apparently he can’t close it on booking, which seems wrong, since otherwise he could never offer the same rooms on multiple platforms. Imagine if we had booked and then arrived with no room available, like it happened to some ppl writing in the comments here. Stay away from this scammers place.

We had three separate bookings because we were diving in between, and each time we came back tired, they gave us some excuse why we couldn’t check into our paid room. We wasted many hours talking with Oyo and the manager at ground to get our money back. Extremely bad management. Don’t expect an answer within two days. One time they even had a room available but wanted double payment before letting us check in, despite knowing about their mistake the night before.
