Khao Lak Good View

The pool was gorgeous and kept clean, and breakfast came with eggs, toast, and freshly ground coffee. We also found the staff lovely and very helpful. Our simple bungalow was spotless, with a veranda looking out over a garden full of striking trees and flowers. You could hear birds everywhere. It feels like a little green oasis just off the main road, with none of the traffic noise. We loved our stay and would highly recommend it.

The staff worked hard and were always ready with a smile. We loved staying here. It has an old-time Thailand feel, which is part of the charm if that's what you're after, though the rooms still have air conditioning and hot water. The family-run place is peaceful and relaxed, while being right in the center of Khao Lak village (Nang Thong), close to restaurants and other services. One of the best places to stay in Khao Lak.

For a cheap resort, it was decent enough. Breakfast was the best part. The pillows were hard, and the thin curtains let in a lot of light early in the morning, so sleeping comfortably was difficult. Wifi was weak, and the shower barely had any water pressure.

The little pool area is really nice and peaceful, with the jungle sounds around it, wow. Krathom Khao Lak is in a great spot, right by the city, and it's about a 15-minute walk to the beach.
