There were plenty of beach chairs and three pools, so it never felt crowded. The resort was peaceful and quiet, a great place to properly relax, and the staff were extremely friendly, always greeting us with warm smiles. Our room and the facilities were comfortable and well maintained. There’s a kids’ club and activity areas, with lots for adults and children to enjoy. Most of the restaurant food was delicious, and the atmosphere was pleasant. We stayed at Le Méridien Khao Lak for three nights. The downside was that a wedding at the resort made things a bit noisy, especially near the breakfast restaurant, which sometimes felt crowded and hectic. Still, it was a wonderful stay, and I’d highly recommend it for a relaxing holiday.

Norn, the waitress at the Pizzeria, was excellent. She remembered our order from earlier visits, carefully explained the gluten-free choices, and suggested places for our onward trip to Phuket. Food was available throughout the day, tasted very fresh, and the beachside evening barbecue overlooking the sunset by Coconut Joe’s was a highlight. We also enjoyed spotting wildlife around the resort, from lizards and birds to fish in the sea. We spent seven nights at Le Meridian as part of a Tui Multi Centre Holiday. From the start, the staff were welcoming and helpful, explaining dining options, entertainment, and activities. There were several pools to relax by and a private hotel beach with watersports. We learned to paddleboard there, which was great fun. Our room had a modern interior and was well maintained. We’d definitely come back; it was a very memorable holiday.

The breakfast had lots of choices and was okay, but the juice area was too small for the people waiting for the coffee machine. Another work table would help too, since the cooked food sits in front of the order station and everyone gathers there, making it hard to get food and creating unnecessary congestion. I stayed three nights and enjoyed it. Two friendly staff greeted me on arrival, check-in went smoothly, and they showed me to a large, clean room. The bed and pillow were a little too soft for my taste, but I had no real complaint. The bathroom was spacious and well lit, though it could use another rail or two for towels. Before arriving, I booked a romantic dinner on the beach through several emails and chose the most expensive of the three options because its decorations matched the website photos. I’d suggest Le Meridien show a photo of the setup for each package so customers know exactly what they’re getting. When bad weather meant moving dinner to the beach grill restaurant, they had no photos of that setup either. For a five-star resort, customers should be able to see what each package includes. The food was very good, but I never got the live crepe suzette flame presentation promised in the emails. I’d stay again, though a few small details could make the hotel better.

I booked six months ahead and traveled from Phuket to Khao Lak. The service met my expectations, with every staff member smiling, as you’d expect from a Marriott. There were a few problems with the room at check-in, but I was satisfied overall. The two women making bracelets for children in front of the restaurant seemed to show “discrimination between Asians and Westerners,” lol. On my last day I ordered room service, and the employee named Neung was so cheerful, lol. Anyway, have a good rest. 🤓

The staff are what make this hotel. Everyone, from the bar team to housekeeping, was amazing, and reception happily helped with plans and taxi bookings so we could have a great time. The location is a bit far out, though there are plenty of bars and restaurants and a few shops within walking distance. We stayed ten nights in early December. There were three weddings during our visit, but they didn’t disrupt us. A few areas were temporarily closed and the decorations were lovely; noise stayed low, and we didn’t hear it once inside our room. We got engaged on our last day, and when we came back from our outing, the hotel had decorated our room and left a bottle of champagne. Breakfast may have been the best I’ve ever had. I’m still dreaming about the caramel banana. We’d definitely stay again.
