Pranee Beach Bungalows

I'd skip the extra charge for a sea-view room unless you're lucky enough to get one where you can actually see the sea.

We came by three separate times for food and drinks. At first the place didn't make a great impression, but after sitting for a while, the simple charm and very friendly staff won us over. The food was full of flavor and freshly cooked, the beer was cold, and the prices were extremely reasonable. Well worth a visit.

We only spent one night here, but it was memorable. Pranee and the staff made us feel welcome right away, and even brought drinks over while encouraging us to relax in the hammocks. The food was so good, especially the pad see ew and kua gai. I didn't expect that from such a small, remote spot. We had the beach mostly to ourselves, with maybe 2-4 other people around at times. It was a peaceful change from the busy tourist towns, and the place felt like a serene hidden gem. I'd love to come back. The rooms are simple and could do with updating. The shower pressure was weak, the appliances were old, and the power went out twice. Even with those issues, everything else made it a solid 5-star stay.

We didn't stay here, so I can't comment on the rooms. We ate at Pranees several times for lunch and dinner, and both the food and service were top level. We weren't disappointed.
