We meant to stay for two nights and ended up extending for two weeks. It was peaceful, private, and quiet, and I felt at home almost straight away. This is one of my favourite places I've stayed. The hosts soon felt like friends. They were responsive, friendly, and so helpful whenever we needed anything. They even made sure we never went to bed without a coconut from their garden. I'll always be grateful we found RakSuan, and would recommend it to anyone wanting something different from an all-inclusive hotel.

I felt completely safe and comfortable staying here as a solo woman. The property is peaceful and surrounded by nature, and Memory Beach is about a 10-minute scooter ride away for sunset. The Thai couple who run the place are so warm and helpful. From the moment I arrived, I felt at home, and they even shared mangoes from their garden. The room was clean and cozy, with great value for the money. We also took a little trip together at sunrise to a beautiful viewpoint, one of the special moments of my stay. I'd happily recommend it and tell my friends and family about it. If you want a warm, authentic Thai experience with kind hosts, this is a lovely place. Thank you for everything! 🙏✨

The couple who run Rexuan are lovely, caring, and make sure you feel comfortable. They even invite guests to share home-cooked meals. I ended up arranging a month with them: the room was 500 baht a day, and a motorcycle 200 baht a day, the cheapest prices in the area. It's in the northern village of Khao Lak, which I think is the most worthwhile area, and the beaches are among the best. A new room with air conditioning and a garden-facing balcony is worth it. There's a fridge in the room and an outdoor kitchen for cooking. Highly recommended for a sweet, caring adult couple. They also share a contact number, so you can call or chat on Line.

We loved Coconut beach most of all, and this place makes a good base for it. The road there has good, still-cheap restaurants about a 10-15 minute walk away. There's a grocery store roughly 8-10 minutes away, and a lovely café right beside the accommodation. We used a scooter to visit waterfalls, Lamru national park, the Turtle conservation center, and other places. The bungalow is private and set in a beautiful garden, beside the owner's house and away from the noisy centre. It was new, with a big bed and mosquito net, TV, good Wi-Fi, fridge, and fan. The porch looks out over the surroundings. There's a bathroom next to it with cold water, which was what we wanted after a hot day, plus a nature sitting area and a small bamboo resting place. We stayed five nights and were very happy with our choice. The owners were kind and welcoming. We asked for a kettle and towels, and they were happy to provide them. A bike is handy for getting here, or a taxi takes about eight minutes to Khao Lak centre. Good value for money. If you'd like a private place away from the resorts, I recommend booking it.
