The Waters Khao Lak

Staying in a pool-access room was great, with the pool right outside our door. The staff were cheerful and helpful throughout, and there were loads of places to eat and drink nearby, so we were never short of choices. There's also a 7/11 across the road, and Biang Niang night market is an easy walk away. We enjoyed a very relaxing stay at The Waters in Khao Lak. We were there in mid-May, when it was quieter than peak season. Sometimes we had a whole pool to ourselves, and the resort generally wasn't as busy or noisy.

Check which room type you're booking if you want a nice pool view. Some rooms are in the "Bay block" and don't have the same feel as the "Waters wing" rooms elsewhere. TUI was quite misleading about that. The free Wi-Fi worked well, but when we went out of range we had to enter our details again to reconnect, which was a bit of a pain. We booked through TUI as a B&B package and found it good value. The staff were very pleasant and helpful, the resort was clean and tidy, and it was laid out nicely with several pools and plenty of sunbeds. The pool areas were quiet and suited a relaxing holiday. Breakfast was adequate, though nothing special. The location was excellent, near the beach, shops, and restaurants. We didn't use many of the facilities, but I'd certainly return.

For our first trip to Thailand, we couldn't have picked a better hotel. The lower-level swim-up room gave us direct access to the pool and was perfect. Everyone on staff was friendly and ready to help. Breakfast had lots of options, all fresh and hot. The hotel is perfectly central, and we couldn't have wished for a better stay 😊

The hotel felt both relaxing and luxurious, and the facilities were better than I expected. Everything ran smoothly, and whenever I had a request it was handled quickly and professionally. From arrival, the staff were warm and welcoming, and they kept checking in and helping throughout my stay. The room was thoughtfully laid out, comfortable, beautifully presented, and spotless. It was an incredible visit, with consistently high standards in the service and comfort. I'd absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a really exceptional hotel experience.
