Conrad Koh Samui

We eloped at Conrad and spent 7 nights there. The staff at every level were phenomenal, so attentive and gracious, and the resort exceeded what we expected. The rooms and grounds were gorgeous, and it was the most luxurious place we’ve stayed. We knew it wasn’t close to much, so we hired a car and the location wasn’t a problem. The one letdown was room service: the hours and the choices were limited. Food at the hotel was pricey, but still lovely. And the buffet breakfast was the best we’ve ever had. It was a magical stay, and we hope to visit again someday.

The infinity pool at our villa, with the sun going down over the ocean, was one of the best moments of our trip. The views and sunsets felt almost unreal, and the villas gave us a lot of privacy. Conrad Koh Samui was peaceful and beautifully kept, just right for unwinding and disconnecting. Breakfast had plenty of choices and was excellent, and all the meals we tried were high quality. The staff made the stay, too. They were warm and genuinely helpful without being overbearing, and seemed to care about the experience. We’ve been to quite a few luxury resorts, and this one stands out. We’d gladly return.

The room was worth the price for us, with its infinity pool, bed, huge tub, and beautiful bathroom. The main pool was lovely and relaxed, with plenty of spots to lounge in the sun. Staff were kind and helpful, and their attention to detail deserves praise. We spent 4 nights here for our honeymoon. It’s secluded and beautiful, though the resort sits up a steep hill or cliff, so walking around isn’t easy. We’re used to walking everywhere in New York, but calling a cheap Grab was simple. Fisherman’s Village and other attractions are 45-60 minutes away. The island’s quieter side suited us, and there are cute places to explore nearby. Breakfast was 10000/10. Lunch and dinner were fine, but felt a little expensive compared with local restaurants. I’d stay again and recommend it to other honeymooners. A few nights here followed by a few in the island’s busier area would be ideal.

The setting and food were the strongest parts of our stay at Conrad Koh Samui. The villas are stunning, with private infinity pools and wide ocean views, and the food throughout the property was consistently delicious. Staff were generally kind and polite, and seemed to be trying. The hotel also made efforts to address the problems and compensate us, which we appreciated. The hillside makes getting around dependent on buggies. At busy times, especially after dinner, waits could be long. We paid for an expensive romantic beachfront dinner expecting privacy, but the wait staff stayed and talked to us through much of the meal. It felt less intimate than intended, which was particularly frustrating on our honeymoon. A lightning strike caused a half-day power outage, which was understandable and outside the hotel’s control. After that, though, a sewage problem led to flooding inside our villa. We also had ants and repeated delays with Grab deliveries reaching the property. It’s a gorgeous place with great food and well-meaning staff, but the operational problems made the experience less seamless than we expected at this price.
