Paenaifun Resort

The resort was serene and beautiful, and we loved being the only guests there. The kids enjoyed the pool, I jumped into the river from the platform beside it, and we could use the kayaks for free whenever we liked. If peace and nature are what you’re after, this is a great spot. Erawan waterfalls is less than a 20 minute drive away. We went twice, first with family but only made it to level 4, then I returned alone the next morning and reached level 7. It’s about an hour from Kanchanaburi town, with nothing within walking distance, so renting a car makes sense. There’s only a minimal breakfast and no other food on offer, though they can arrange delivery from another restaurant. We had a car, which worked well for driving to restaurants and 7-Elevens a few kilometers away.

We stayed in a two-bedroom easy house capsule, on its own raft with a private outdoor jacuzzi and dining table. It was nice to have that separate space, though the capsule felt cramped once we brought in full-size suitcases, so a room might suit better. It has modern features including automatic curtains, outside LED lights and a modern bathroom. Breakfast included standard American options and Thai porridge. Kayaks, paddle boats and a spiral water slide are free to use. There doesn’t seem to be a reception. Staff wait by the river for check-in, and you need to drive about 200m past the main entrance to reach the lodging. It’s around 10km from the Erawan waterfall entrance and 14km from Srinakarin Dam, with plenty of restaurants, cafes and grocery stalls around. Staff aren’t intrusive and promptly respond to LINE app requests. They can also arrange food delivery. We appreciated how friendly they were.

The peaceful setting made it easy to unwind and recharge, with lovely panoramic mountain and river views from the rooms. At Pae Nai Fan Resort in Kanchanaburi, the glass-enclosed bungalows are modern, clean, spacious and well-equipped. You can kayak or take a pedal boat, and the staff are friendly with excellent service. It’s a chill place to stay on the Kwai Noi River, and we thought it was worth the price.

Great atmosphere and plenty of places for kids to play. The staff were very helpful, the rooms were clean and the price was cheap. It’s rare to find a floating bungalow by the water this clean, and I hope they keep it that way. I highly recommend it.
