Saint Tropez Beach Resort Hotel

The room price is outrageous for what you get, and the photos are completely misleading. I had to clean my room myself as soon as I arrived. This is the most rundown resort I've seen in Thailand, and it feels like the owner doesn't care about guests or maintaining the place. Some rooms look out onto a terrible alley with garbage cans and maintenance supplies. On every floor, the maids' cleaning supplies and garbage collection areas are left exposed where guests can see them.

The beach is beautiful, but the hotel itself was chaos. We waited an hour at the restaurant just to get a fruit soda, and the food we ordered without chilli came with chilli through it. The pool was filthy because they'd run out of chlorine. We tried to cancel and get a refund, but they refused. There's a phone directory in the room, but no phone. The balcony was large and had no furniture to sit on. Never coming back.

The beachfront is nice and clean, and swimming is good for kids. For a budget stay it was decent value, and breakfast was a standard buffet for the price, no bacon lol. The place is a bit old and the rooms aren't maintained very well. There were stains on the bathroom fixtures, though at least the sheets were clean. The cabinet doors sit at floor level, and I banged my toe on them a few times. You can order food to the room, but they don't speak English, so be ready to order in Thai.

The view was decent and the room was okay, but it wasn't good value for the money. The photos give a misleading impression, and the price is outrageous for what felt like a one-star hotel. The restaurant wasn't open for lunch or dinner, and they said the chef had quit long ago. Grab delivery wasn't available either. Staff weren't helpful and seemed to be living in the lobby. I asked to speak with the owner, whose 10mb car was parked outside, or the manager, but they said I couldn't. I wouldn't recommend it or stay again.
