Happy Place Condo

We’ve been tenants here long term. The room quality is quite okay, but the female front desk staff are the biggest problem, and this hasn’t improved. They don’t greet customers or even smile, and their manner is unwelcoming. We rarely ask for help, but when we do, the replies are often dismissive and indifferent, with little courtesy. Their tone is unpleasant and they seem distant. I’d like to know how the condo hires people like this for customer service.

The pool is lovely, the gym looks good, and the surroundings are nice. We paid little and found it fine for our 2 night stay, with the airport nearby. I wouldn’t choose it for a longer visit. Our two bedroom apartment had only 2 plates, cups and glasses, so the kitchen was poorly equipped. The promised Wi-Fi didn’t reach our room, and we had to sit in reception to use it. It’s farther from the beach than a 10 to 15 minute walk, and a 5 minute cab ride gets you to the beach and any reasonable facilities. The beach itself is lovely, with plenty of good restaurants.

The apartment-style room was clean and roomy enough for a couple, and having plates and cookware made it easy to prepare meals. The airport location is convenient, and I was glad I booked just one night. Still, the price I paid felt high for the accommodation. Internet access was frustrating. I tried several times, including in the early morning, but couldn’t log in or use it properly. If you rely on a steady connection, I’d be cautious about choosing The Happy Place Condominium. Check-out was confusing, too. I told the front desk at check-in that I planned to leave at 6:30 am, but no one explained what to do. When I went to return the key at 7 am, nobody was in the main lobby and the door was locked. I wasn’t sure how to check out. The location and price may appeal, but unreliable internet and unclear check-out instructions could put people off. If dependable internet and an easy departure matter to you, I’d look elsewhere.

The apartment was just okay, with a good bed but a terrible sofa. The place looked nothing like the pictures. It’s run down and needs a lot of care. Maybe it was nice when it first opened, but now it looks as if nobody cares. The playground is a safety hazard, and all the walls in the common areas need painting.
